“Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”, KS Reads to Preschoolers 2011

November 13-19 is the seventh annual Kansas Reads to Preschoolers week. This year’s book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom written by Bill Martin Jr. with John Archambault and illustrated by Lois Ehlert.

We’re inviting preschoolers to join us at the library to hear this book followed by crafts and treats on Saturday November 19th at 10:30 a.m.!

Bill Martin Jr. was born and raised in Hiawatha, KS, making him the perfect choice this year.  The 2011 Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week focuses on the commemoration of Kansas’ 150th anniversary of statehood as well as the importance of reading to very young children.

Strengthening individuals, families and communities through continuing education, developing leadership and community action.

FCE is celebrating 75 years of volunteering for good causes, learning together in fellowship and advocating for improved standards in homes, communities and the world.
