November 13-19 is the seventh annual Kansas Reads to Preschoolers week. This year’s book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom written by Bill Martin Jr. with John Archambault and illustrated by Lois Ehlert.

Bill Martin Jr. was born and raised in Hiawatha, KS, making him the perfect choice this year.  The 2011 Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week focuses on the commemoration of Kansas’ 150^th anniversary of statehood as well as the importance of reading to very young children.
