I am happy to report today that the library is now up and running with the internet. Our telephone is also in working order as well. Printing may still be an issue for a short time, but will hopefully be set up soon as well.
SO, I invite the public to come check out our new location! I will warn you in advance that it is still quite messy; boxes are still piled up in some places and everything is not quite in its place. We are waiting on the circulation desk as well.
However, the library is completely (or almost) functional, you can check out books, movies, and use the computer, so please stop by! Our hours again are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 2 pm. We will have an open house at a later date when the library is completely finished.
Also worthy of news, today, December 20th, the library is having it’s annual Christmas Story-Hour. It will begin at 10 am and last until 11. We will read a couple stories, including this year’s Kansas Reads to Preschoolers book Bear Feels Sick by Karma Wilson, which we were unable to read during Kansas Reads to Preschoolers week due to the move. Then we will have a free-for-all craft session, with a variety of projects and imagination required. Finally, we will enjoy some lovely homemade cookies and holiday punch.
In addition, the annual Christmas drawing will be held at 11, where a gift will be awarded to the child’s n
ame drawn in each age category. The categories are 0-3, 4-7, and 8-10.
And don’t forget to stop back by later to check out PHOTOS from the fun day!
Hope to see you all soon!
